Former Main Building of Fukushima Prefecture Jinjo Middle School

The Fukushima Prefecture Jinjo Middle School was constructed in 1889. Western technology was widely used throughout both the interior and exterior of the building, and was considered the most advanced Giyofu-building in Fukushima Prefecture at the time. Giyofu was a form of mimicked Western architecture prevalent at the time. Still standing in the same location, it is a very valuable piece of architecture on a national scale, and it is still being used for education even until this day.
