This was the residence of the vice-president of the Tottori Land Cultivation Association, established by the newcomers from Tottori Domain to participate in the Asaka Land Development Project. It is a building with the best design out of 5 different ranks of residence buildings constructed using grants from the Meiji government to build homes for the newcomers.
