Tomioka's Karakasa Andon (Oil Paper Umbrellas) Fireworks

A firework festival that started from the early Meiji era (1868-1912) to pray for rain, good harvests, and family wellbeing. When the closed umbrellas open, the light of the fireworks pour down like rain, making it a rare type of firework display in Japan.
