Hayama Park

The opening of the Asaka Canal in 1882 was celebrated greatly in this park.
Several hundred lanterns were hung up in the park, with kabuki performances with floats and fireworks set off, making it an unprecedented gathering of tens of thousands of people.
This park also has the Asaka Canal Hayama Waterfall, which is a Registered Tangible Cultural Property of Japan.
