Koriyama City Kokaido (Public Hall)

The Koriyama City Kokaido (Public Hall) was constructed in 1924 to celebrate Koriyama’s official establishment as a city. Overseen by the architect of the National Diet Building Yabashi Kenkichi, the design’s modern façade based on a renaissance revival style magnificently conveys the conviction of the pioneers, making it a building where the spirit of enterprise is tangible, and which symbolizes the rapid development of Koriyama City.
